Welcome to the Definitely Dachshunds family! Dachshunds have always held a special place in our family since we were first introduced to them in 1970 and we cannot imagine life without at least one around to keep a smile on our face. We hope to bring many years of joy, cuddles, and hilarity to your life by placing one of these little unforgettable puppies in your home. My mother and sister are both involved in this endeavor with me so there is a lot of love that goes into our puppies. We are a small breeder in Nampa, Idaho and want to give our puppies the best homes while also making lasting friendships with the families they go to. We breed longhaired miniature dachshunds and have a variety of colors including cream, shaded cream, chocolate and tan dapple, chocolate and cream dapple, black and cream dapple, black and tan dapple, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, black, and red.

Salsa

She is sweet and she is spicy! And when we say she is spicy, we mean she is all about adventure and running full speed around the yard playing tag with the other dogs and destroying dog toys because she has something to prove (we don't know what, but apparently it is something). But then she catches you looking at her through the window and she becomes this sweet angel that has no idea how the toys were shredded and distributed throughout the yard but she is willing to help you solve the mystery as long as you hold her while you walk around the yard looking for clues .

Salsa is a daughter out of our Gary, our chocolate and cream stud. She fluctuates between 10 and 11 pounds and has her sire's sweet and cuddly nature and her mother's natural dachshund drive.

Jolene

You can't just say her name once, you have to channel your inner Dolly Parton and loudly call out, "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeene!" And once you do, Jolene bounds towards you with almost tangible joy and excitement, then rolls over and begs for all the belly rubs and pets you have stored up over the last 5 minutes since you had last given her all of your attention. She is just as beautiful in personality as she is in appearace and will be your best friend if given the chance.

Sandra Dee

Sandra Dee is a beautiful longhaired cream dachshund from our own line. She gets her silky soft coat from her sire Macaroni and her beautiful honey colored coat from her mother Chantilly Lace. Sandy spends most of her days doing 3 things: playing with her toys, laying at your feet or on your lap, and sitting by the front window hoping someone will walk by and admire her beauty.

This little showstopper weighs 10.5 lbs and has stolen our hearts.

Cinderella Rose

Don't be fooled by this stunning hidden dapple cream longhaired girl with one partial blue eye, she is a fiesty go getter. Ella poses when she is held and looks like a stuffed animal but the second you put her down, she is looking for someone to play with. She is Sandy's sibling from Macaroni and Chantilly Lace but is almost the opposite because she has her sire's coloring and her mother's coat which is still soft, but is a little thicker.

Ella weighs 7.5 lbs and is not going to be bred until she matures out of her puppy size.

Cha-Ching

Cha-Ching melts hearts wherever she goes. She was born via c section and was one of the only surviving puppies out of the litter. Her momma is a black longhaired miniature dachshund with white points and her sire is Macaroni who is a cream hidden dapple, hence where she got her stunning dapple markings.

Cha-Ching weighs 8 lbs and is still maturing. She is a mischievous little princess who likes to act like she didn't hear you to make you repeat yourself just for the extra attention. She is also the collector of all things eye level to her and adds her treasures to her dog bed to reign over.

Yeti is a handsome gentleman who loves to follow you around the yard as you pick up little "presents" he and the rest of the dachshund crew left behind. He walks you to the door and kisses you on the hand while giving you those dark chocolate eyes that say he would rather give you a sloppy kiss on the cheek instead. He bounces while he walks with unwavering confidence. He always walks to the same beat which myself and my family debate what song he has stuck in his head while he puts one foot down and picks the other up with such flair.

Yeti weighs in at 10.5 pounds and has just started his career as a stunning sire.

Yeti

Macaroni

Dreamy, isnt he? You can almost envision yourself running your hand down his majestic head not believing you are actually touching him because his fur is so silky soft. Then you get a wet lick to the face from him and this clown is now rolling on his back with all 4 legs flopped haphazardly in the air. Just as he gets comfortable, he starts to roll off your lap onto the floor but doesn't seem to mind where he lands as long as you don't stop petting him.

That just about sums up this stud's personality. Macaroni is a cream hidden dapple longhaired dachshund who weighs in at around 12 lbs on a good day, but on a "I sneaked a lot of treats and mom won't find out" day he weighs about 12.5 lbs. His parents are out of Arkansas. His mother is a cream hidden dapple longhaired miniature dachshund and his sire is a cream longhaired dachshund.

Gary

This handsome green eyed hunk is a momma's boy through and through. Gary loves to make everyone smile and is very shy at first but once he gets out of his comfort zone, he is the most loyal sidekick around. He will lean against your leg just to let you know you will never have to do anything alone again including use the restroom.

Gary is a chocolate and cream longhaired miniature dachshund who weighs in at 11 lbs. His sire is a shaded cream longhaired miniature dachshund and his mother is a chocolate and cream longhaired miniature dachshund. Gary is from Devoted Dachshunds in Texas.

Prices

Please contact us for prices. Each puppy is special to us. We like to get to know future puppy parents a well and are fond of communication. If you are looking for full registration, or the potential to breed, please state that in your inquiry.

Puppy Care

Our puppies will come with an AKC registration application, age appropriate vaccinations, and will be de-wormed before going to their forever homes. Our veterinarian will examine each puppy before being released to help ensure you are getting a happy and healthy puppy.

Shipping

We currently do not ship puppies. This is mostly because there is a small window in the spring and fall that the temperatures are not too hot or too cold for our little loves. We will meet you at the Boise, Idaho airport if you decide to fly here to pick up the puppy. If you decide to drive, we will try to meet you up to 25 miles outside of Nampa, Idaho.
